About Tire City
Tire City is a tire shop in Independence, Missouri. It is listed at 630 East 23rd St S, Independence, MO 64055, which places it among the local businesses of Independence that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a state disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement, but check the tread depth (4/32 inch or more) and the DOT date code, since rubber ages even on the shelf. Mobile tire services come to your driveway or the roadside, commercial shops handle semi, trailer, farm and off-road tires, and wheel shops repair and refinish bent or curb-scraped rims.

I went to this shop for years for my oil changes, tires and bunch more. My last time going was went I went to get my heat fixed and his mechanic he used to work on my car ruined my car. He took apart my steering wheel and ruined my horn, vent never worked, airbag signal on my dash was always on after dealing with them. I went back to talk with the owner and he took no accountability and refused to help me due to it being the mechanics work. He wanted me to speak with him even though he was fired due to multiple mistakes on people cars.

I've had good experiences before but this time they damaged my vehicle and claimed that it was already damaged. Charlie the manager is a great guy but the owner doesn't like to take care of mistakes that his people make. My driver's door was sprung after I got my vehicle back. They also raised my van too high in the shop and smashed some lights on top of the van. They put a water pump on and tightened a hose clamp at an angle so tight that split hose and I had a coolant leak. I have given plenty of time for the owner to make good on this claim but doesn't even give me a call or anything. I used to be an area manager for 22 restaurants and if somebody had a claim I contacted them immediately and solved the problem. This won't happen here at this store. I run routes all over a 90 mile radius of Kansas City. I am going to make sure that everybody knows how I was treated at the store. No problem with the manager but total disregard by the owner..

Iβve been doing business with these guys for several years. Charlie is an outstanding individual. Him and his guys are honest, trustworthy and fair. I have never hesitated to take my vehicles to them for tire repairs, tire purchases or vehicle inspections.

They were extremely nice and honest. It just so happened to be a really hot day and I don't do well in the heat, I was also helping someone do something. (In the Sun.) (Yes, I know, a bad idea.) I overheated, kind of blacked out. I definitely had an experience.. I went inside to cool down. Vomited.(π« ) Told someone, he pointed me towards a restroom for me to cool down in.

I would have given them a good review, but it ended with an elderly man yelling and throwing paperwork at me. I went there around 5:30 last evening 5/24/2022 to have a tired repaired if possible, if not replaced. I was happy when he said he atched it and i was good to go. Cost 27$. I pd and left. When to a family members house a few blocks away. When i went to leave less than 2 hpurs later, my tires was flat again. I tried to call no answering machine or voicemail. I called at 9 am this morning he told me to bring it back and they'd take care of it. I told if if they could fix it great, if not I'd get a used one. He told me there would be no charge if he could fix it. I assumed if he couldn't, since he didn't say that it couldn't be fixed last night, he would put what i paid towards new tire. He came back out and got a used tire. I asked if my could be fixed? He said he didn't even tryand went back with used tire. When he was finished he started writing the bill out at full price. I asked him why he didn't put the 27$ i paid last night towards the tire. His reply was he fixed that tire, to which i replied no it went flat in less than 2 hours, so not fixed. He starting yelling
